Day 2: Travel to Kalahari Desert
After breakfast, you will depart for the Kalahari Desert, a journey that takes approximately four hours. You will travel through stunning scenery, passing by small towns and villages along the way. Upon arrival at your lodge or camp, you will have time to settle in and explore the surrounding area.
Day 3-4: Game drives in Kalahari Desert
You will spend the next two days exploring the Kalahari Desert on game drives, guided by experienced local guides. You will have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including gemsbok, springbok, meerkats, and the rare brown hyena. Your guides will also share their knowledge of the local flora and fauna, pointing out medicinal plants and explaining how the San people have adapted to living in the desert.
Day 5: Visit San village
Today you will visit a traditional San village, where you will learn about the culture and way of life of the indigenous people. You will have the opportunity to participate in traditional dances, watch hunting and gathering demonstrations, and learn about the San people’s deep connection to the natural world.
Day 6-7: Bushman walk and stargazing
You will spend the next two days on a guided bushman walk, exploring the desert on foot and learning about the San people’s hunting and gathering practices. You will also have the chance to go on a guided stargazing tour, admiring the incredible night sky and learning about the constellations.
Day 8: Return to Windhoek
After breakfast, you will return to Windhoek, where you will spend your final night in Namibia. You can spend the day exploring the city, shopping for souvenirs, or simply relaxing and reflecting on your incredible safari experience.
Day 9: Departure
Today marks the end of your safari adventure in Namibia. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
